The ever-increasing demand for nutritious food, together with the opportunities that lie in the growing of a climate positive food future, promise an exciting outlook for our company. Supporting our vision of a world without hunger and a planet respected, we pursue a strategy of sustainable value growth, promoting climate-friendly crop nutrition and zero-emission energy solutions.
Our annual reporting for 2020 reflects the way we manage our performance – holistically. It consists of this Sustainability Report alongside the Integrated Report, which builds on the International Integrated Reporting Framework. The Sustainability Report 2020 provides stakeholders with additional information on our performance and governance of material sustainability topics.
We manage and measure our performance around the three pillars People, Planet, and Prosperity – and report accordingly.

Yara’s Sustainability Report 2020 has been prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards: Core option. It has been reviewed by a third party. The auditor’s report and the GRI Content Index are both available in the report.
In 2020, we also committed to reporting in accordance with the Measuring Stakeholder Capitalism white paper, issued by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Our adoption of the People, Planet and Prosperity pillars reflect this commitment.
Learn more about how we have implemented the WEF framework, the EU Guidelines on reporting climate-related information, and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures framework in our latest annual report.
In preparation for the EU Taxonomy, Yara has engaged CICERO Shades of Green to assess the ‘greenness’ of our revenues and investments. According to their assessment, more than 60% of Yara’s investments in 2020 was for fertilizers, products and services shaded green. The full report is available in the Reports and publications page.
