Cash distribution policy
Yara’s capital allocation policy is based on an overall objective to maintain a mid-investment grade credit rating, while at the same time providing investors with a potential for cyclical upside in dividends. Yara’s targeted capital structure is a mid- to long-term net debt/EBITDA range of 1.5-2.0 and a net debt/equity ratio below 0.60. Subject to these requirements, Yara’s ordinary dividend shall be 50% of net income. Shareholder returns are distributed primarily as cash, with share buybacks as a supplemental lever. The dividend pertaining to a fiscal year is declared at our annual general meeting as follows:
