Magnus Krogh Ankarstrand

EVP & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Ankarstrand (born 1979) has served as Chief Financial Officer since March 2025. He comes from the role as EVP Corporate Development and has held several key roles in the company since joining Yara as Head of Strategy in 2012.

Previously, he served as CFO for Industrial, SVP Yara North America, and CEO in Yara Clean Ammonia (YCA) between 2021 and 2024. He also has previous experience from The Boston Consulting Group and the Royal Norwegian Navy.

Mr. Ankarstrand is a member of the Council of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a member of the Board of Directors of Borregaard ASA, an international chemical company headquartered in Sarpsborg, Norway.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration (siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen and a degree in Leadership and Nautical Science from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy in Bergen.
