From farmers to agronomists, truck drivers, bakers, grocery store workers – everyone shares a desire to sustain our world and its population today and in the future.
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people facing acute hunger could double. Supported by the United Nations, the Norwegian government and African institutions, Yara is taking action and committing $25 million to provide food for more than one million people in Southern and Eastern Africa.
Failing to act could cause irreversible social and economic damage. We must ensure that food is still grown, harvested and transported, to feed the world – and leave no one hungry.
Yara’s operations are running well. We continuously monitor the status, especially regarding operational staff and logistical challenges. Keep up to date on the situation here.
