Yara's research project investigating the use of gypsum to reduce phosphorus discharge into the Baltic Sea has been concluded with encouraging results. Phosphorus leakage was reduced by 60 percent.

Sustainable farming flourishes when focus is on crop nutrition.
The golden rule in fertilizer use remains simple: Apply the right amount of nitrogen at the right time. Fertilizers with a reliable nitrogen release profile and precise application characteristics reduce losses and enhance plant uptake. In European conditions, but also in many areas and worldwide, CAN and AN have proven to be more efficient than urea and UAN.
