Yara aims to build solid relationships with all those who have an interest in the company
Main content
Yara has entered into partnerships with leading experts, organizations and companies to explore common interests and to guide the company’s citizenship strategy, plans and targets as they move forward.
Yara entered into a strategic cooperation with the environmental expert group Bellona in 2006. The cooperation aims to solve important environmental challenges, in particular by focusing on a political framework and policies to support the best available environmental technology and contribute to reducing emissions of nitrous oxide N2O and nitrogen oxides NOx. In 2007, discussions with Bellona inspired the establishment of the Yarwil joint venture, which is an innovative environmental collaboration between Wilhelmsen Maritime Services (WMS) and Yara to cut vessel emissions.
Yara is one of 14 international companies in Norway partnering in the KlimaGevinst (Climate Benefits] project aiming to combat climate change. The project has been initiated by the Scandinavian think tank and publication Mandag Morgen (“Monday Morning”), and will cooperate closely with Copenhagen Climate Council.
