Yara has established company-wide practices to develop its role as a global corporate citizen and manage its contributions to society - as an industry shaper, a stocklisted company, a global business, a major employer and a leader in sustainable agricultural development.
Yara’s citizenship governance structure is crucial for creating long-term value for shareholders while also being profitable to society. With this in mind, Yara looks to align business with global trends and developments to explore emerging business opportunities and at the same time manage health, environmental, safety and quality issues in line with its ambitions for industry-shaping performance.
Company-wide practices have been established to live up to these ambitions. Yara’s Code of Conduct defines the company’s commitments and standards of conduct, and applies to all employees, in every part of our operations. As of 2006, Yara has also participated in the United Nations Global Compact and implemented its 10 principles throughout the organization.
This was set up to help Yara deliver on its goals of creating long-term value by being a good global corporate citizen.
Yara’s risk management system aims to detect, monitor and manage both financial and non-financial risk.
Yara has been setting up a corporate compliance unit to coordinate and support global compliance efforts to prevent corruption and bribery.
Yara has a firm, worldwide commitment to prevent corruption and bribery. and stresses that commitment to employees at all levels.
