Everyone has the right to work in a healthy and safe environment.

Policy and commitments

Yara’s stance is that injuries, occupational illnesses and safety and environmental mishaps are all preventable - and our goal is to reduce such incidents to zero.

Brazil

Yara is committed to being a leading performer in the area of health, safety and environment, and the well-being of our employees is a top priority. Employees can expect a safe and healthy place to work, marked by openness and opportunity, with respect for diverse opinions and freedom from discrimination or harassment.

Common responsibility

Everyone at Yara, including contractors, is covered by Yara’s Policy for Health, Environment, Safety, Quality and Product Stewardship. Responsibility for the policy stems directly from the CEO, and our ambitions are firmly embedded in the company’s vision and long-term goals.

Yara has established a series of procedures and standards that cover the health, environment and safety aspects of our operations worldwide. These standards are mandatory for all units, and a management system has been set up to monitor and support work throughout the organization.

We strive for continuous improvements in safety performance and to reach the highest standards of excellence throughout our operations.
