Yara has developed a range of specialty chemicals based on blends of nitrates.
Yara has developed NitCal®, a chloride-free set-accelerator nitrate-based product sold to concrete admixture companies all over the world. It is widely used in formulations of chloride-free set-accelerating admixtures.
Typically 0.5 percent - 1.0 percent of Yara’s NitCal (of cement weight) is added when concrete admixture companies are making different set accelerators.
NitCal has been used in many major construction projects around the world, including the new Opera House in Oslo.
