CO2 is available in three different forms, as gas, liquid or solid dry ice. In a highly purified form, its unique properties are widely used in beverages, food processing, airline catering and refrigerated transport industries. Carbon dioxide is often an environmentally friendly alternative to other more hazardous chemicals. Yara has a portfolio of solutions for various industries.

Dry ice is the common name of CO2 in its solid state. Dry ice is made by allowing liquid CO2 to expand to produce CO2 snow and then compressing it into conveniently sized dry ice blocks, slices and pellets.
