The Yara Prize 2007
The Yara Prize 2007 was awarded jointly to Akin Adesina of Nigeria and Josephine Okot of Uganda, for their substantial entrepreneurial contribution to the input sector: the production and distribution of seeds and the development of agro-dealer networks. When awarding the 2007 Prize to Akinwumi Adesina and Josephine Okot, the Yara Foundation recognized their contributions to boosting agricultural productivity and creating livelihood opportunities for communities across Africa.
