Yara has received the "Best in Class" designation from Storebrand Investments, awarded to companies that meet the highest environmental and social standards within their industry. Facts and figures Yara’s dedication to a zero accident policy pays off. There were no fatal accidents in 2006. The accident frequency is close to 1 lost time injury per million hours worked. The total recordable injury rate is approximately 3 per million hours worked, with this performance placing Yara amongst the best performers in the international chemical industry. The average sickness rate is below 4 percent for Yara’s production plants.
