Stunning of pigs with carbon dioxide (CO2)
Pigs are lowered into a closed well with a paternoster lift. The well contains 85 % carbon dioxide at the bottom and a gradient mix change to the top where there is a mixture of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

We provide the gas, the gas supply unit, the gas dosing equipment and gas mix measurement equipment. We also provide equipment for monitoring gas safety levels, as well as ventilation advice and safety training.

The well and paternoster is integrated in the slaughter process line and can be provided by third party specialist suppliers. Various solutions with single pig or multiple pig chambers are available. We offer expert advice in your installation project.
