During oil production, water injection is often used for secondary oil recovery. After secondary oil recovery, there are still large amounts of oil left in the reservoir. Some baceteria are able to increase the oil production when groing in the oil reservoir. To stimulate such aerobic microbial increased oil recovery (AMIOR), nutrients is injected together with the injection water. The injection water is not dearated and air is added.
