Latex coagulation

The general practice is to prepare a stock solution by adding DIPCALTM granules to the water tank. A tap may be fitted 2-3 inches above the bottom of the container to tap off the DIPCAL TM liquid for use and allow insolubles to settle at the bottom.

Glove formes are first passed through cleaning tanks and then dipped into the tank of DIPCALTM. The strength of the DIPCALTM solution depends on the customer's specific requirements and on the articles to be produced.
When coated with DIPCALTM, the formers should appear to be dry before they are dipped into the latex tank.

Some customers add industrial alcohol to the coagulation tank for faster drying of formers and fillers and easier stripping. Our experience is that DIPCALTM is compatible with alcohol and fillers.

Preparing 100 kg of 10 % stock solution: DIPCALTM typically contains 78% calcium nitrate, 15.5% water of crystallization and 6.5% of ammonium nitrate.
Thus, mixing 12.82 kg of DIPCALTM and 87.10 kg of water will give a solution that contains 10.00 kg of calcium nitrate, 89.17 kg of water and 0.83 kg of ammonium nitrate.
