2006: Yara divests its ammonia fleet to Bergesen Worldwide In the third quarter of 2006 Yara completed the divestment of most of its LPG/ammonia shipping assets to Bergesen Worldwide Gas (BW) Gas.
2006: Yara completes acquisition of Britains Phosyn In June 2006 Yara completed the purchase of British-based Phosyn Ltd, a globally-recognized brand in the plant nutrients business. The wholly-owned subsidiary took the name Yara Phosyn Ltd, with Yaras Dr Geoff Paulson as its first Managing Director.
2006: Yara buys 50 percent of Swiss-based trading company Balderton After cooperating closely for years, Yara acquired 50 % of Geneva-based trading company Balderton Fertilisers SA in October 2006.
2007: Yara completes joint venture with Praxair Yara International ASA and Praxair Inc. confirmed the establishment of a 50/50 joint venture, under the name Yara Praxair, on 30 November 2007, following the European Commissions clearance of the deal.
2007: Yara establishes mineral fertilizer venture with Indias Kribhco. Yara International and Indian company Kribhco established a 50/50 joint venture in April 2007 to produce and market mineral fertilizer for the fast-growing Indian market.
2007: Yara establishes JV with NOC of Libya In April 2007 Yara signed a Heads of Agreement with the National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Libya, with the intention of establishing a joint venture for production and marketing of mineral fertilizer.
2007: Yara announces N2O reduction catalyst technology In May 2007, Yaras Research Center at Porsgrunn in Norway unveiled abatement technology that dramatically reduces nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from nitric acid plants.
2007: Yara announces Kemira GrowHow takeover In October 2007, Yara completed its acquisition of Kemira GrowHow Oyj, one of the leading producers of fertilizers and feed phosphates in Europe, following overwhelming acceptance of its tender offer by Kemira GrowHow shareholders.
