Career development

At Yara, we believe that exposing people to challenging tasks and having them participate in defined projects is the best way to promote career development. We therefore offer on-the-job training along with complementary courses and programs.

Yara people

We have a learning platform with selected e-learning courses available to all employees. This tool covers a variety of subjects including project management, time management and training on specific computer applications. It also includes Yara-specific programs.

In addition to having a Leadership Development Program for a few nominated employees, Yara also offers a regional Employee Engagement Program, giving the participants information about Yara’s overall strategies, regional challenges, how to work efficiently in teams and financial issues.

Development plans covering all these elements are always tailor-made to the individual. They are discussed and agreed upon at least once a year during an employee’s annual appraisal and development discussions with the line manager.
