Ethics Program

Excellence in Corporate Governance is an important topic for Yara.

The key principles are laid out in two documents, the Yara Ethics Handbook and the Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and Code of Conduct. All Yara employees are expected to act and conduct their business according to these principles. The Ethics Handbook documents Yara's position on a range of topics, including gifts and entertainment, corruption, and human rights. These documents can be downloaded via the links on the right of the page.

Yara’s Ethics Program also features an internal Ethics Portal with useful links and further information for all Yara employees. Interactive e-learning videos on ethical topics have been produced and are available internally, as well as an Ethics Hotline allowing employees to share their concerns confidentially. Members of the public who may have concerns about Yara's operations can contact the Ethics and Compliance Department directly at ethics@yara.com.

Yara’s continued success as an industry shaper is dependent upon retaining and promoting our ethical reputation and the public trust we have earned. The Ethics Program is therefore an important element in how we run our business.

“Practicing ethical conduct means working honestly and fairly. It also means acting responsibly at all times, including when we are in difficult areas where there are no clear-cut rules, laws, policies or regulations," says CEO Jørgen Ole Haslestad.
