The Norwegian Corporate Governance Board issues the Norwegian Code of Practice for Corporate Governance, updating it annually for any new regulations, legislation or information.
The Code is designed to provide guidance on 15 main topics for Norwegian listed companies and savings banks. Companies must either describe how they comply with the Code or explain why they are not. The Code also requires companies to have a corporate governance report covering all the Code's sections.
