Yara pursues a policy of keeping corporate staff structure lean, with corporate functions connected to the three operating segments Upstream, Downstream and Industrial. Each segment is managed as a separate and strategic unit, with Supply & Trade responsible for global optimization. Segment management is located in Oslo, Norway.

    Air/AdBlue -  Driving for cleaner air

    Industrial provides environmental and industrial solutions, developing chemical products and industrial gases for non-fertilizer market segments, exploiting the company’s industry base. Industrial consists of four business units covering technical nitrates, CO2, nitrogen chemicals and environmental specialty products.

  • Upstream

    Yara Porsgrunn Norway

    Upstream includes Yara’s large-scale ammonia and fertilizer plants worldwide and phosphate mines, composing the backbone of Yara’s production system. Upstream consists of 22 separate production sites in 12 countries, and joint ventures in six countries.

  • Downstream

    YaraLiva - global brand

    Downstream consists of Yara’s worldwide marketing organization and global distribution network for fertilizer products and agronomic solutions, providing a unique global presence. The segment consists of sales offices in more than 50 countries, within eight regional business units.

  • Supply & Trade

    Supply&Trade

    Supply & Trade is responsible for global optimization of energy and raw materials purchases, ammonia trade and shipping, maritime logistics, third-party sourcing, and feed phosphates.
